The Empresarios sound is best described as “Tropicaliente”, and that is the vibe that the band brings to the stage as well. Mixing together the warm sounds of the Caribbean comes with ease for this group of talented musicians. Band leader Javier Miranda and lead singers Frankie Rosado and Felix Perez all hail from Puerto Rico, which comes through in the band’s unique blend of salsa, reggae, cumbia, dub and house. The Empresarios' debut album title track “Sabor Tropical” was placed prominently on EA Sports’ FIFA 2012 video game. The Empresarios aim to have fun and bring a good vibe, so grab a mojito, hit the dance floor and let their sun drenched sounds warm up your body and soul.

Black Dog Prowl is considered one of DC's hardest hitting rock bands. The four-piece showcases original material ranging from the slow, down-tuned to a fast-paced kick in the teeth. The band has built their reputation on a powerful live show, playing and headlining notable area venues over the past decade and sharing the stage with renowned acts like Steel Panther, Candlebox, The Parlor Mob, The Answer, and A Thousand Horses. In 2016, the band recorded and released the EP Have a Little, featuring the single "Shame," and marking the band's first new release since the 2013 single, "No Robots," and their fourth studio effort. In March 2017, as the band embarked on a tour through Mexico, they also released The Voice Memo Bootlegs, an EP compilation of tracks from the band's live and acoustic sets, including the debut of the unreleased track "Salt the Earth," set to be released in Summer 2018.

Sub-Radio makes indie pop that grooves, stabs, winks, punches, inspires. Founded by six childhood friends, they built a following in their hometown of Washington, D.C. on the strength of ecstatic live shows and a stream of releases. Their 2019 EP, produced by Dylan Bauld (flor, Halsey, LIGHTS) and mixed by Andrew Maury (Shawn Mendes, COIN), bursts with joyful energy and creativity.

Genre: Punk/Punk Rock

The tightknit trio of Selena Benally, Mel Mast, and Anjalee Sharma revels in a locked in loyalty, chemistry, and a melding of minds. The bass and drums drive hard leaving the songs teetering on the edge of annihilation. Powerful hooks give way to complex and clever arrangements tinged with something a little darker and well worn, something that nods to the early days of American punk rock, worships at the altar of the crossroads, and nurtures a love of classic guitar rock.
The band released its debut EP, Off the Ground in 2015 followed by 2017’s Oh, The Places I Have Been…, which Glory In Sound called, “My favorite thing I have listened to in years.”
Attending a More AM Than FM live show is akin to awaking having accidentally hitched a ride on the back of one of the Valkyrie’s steeds just as they’re riding into battle. Just hang on and enjoy.

Global citizen and adventure folk singer Eli Lev is making the world a smaller place, one song at a time.
Eli pens hymns for everyday enlightenment— songs that resonate because they’re heartfelt, earthy, and offer wisdom culled from self-discovery.
Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Eli has been touring nationally and internationally after winning the 2019 WAMMIE Award for Best Country/America album for his latest release 'Way Out West.'
Eli is bringing a collective of star local musicians on stage with him to this very special 9:30 Club performance. He will be showcasing new songs and old favorites to a hometown crowd who have been supporting the indie artist's rapid rise from local songwriter to full-time international touring and recording artist in just the last two years.
“The most meaningful thing for me is being able to express through my music what I’ve always felt about humanity. I want to bring people in, make them feel special, and break down the walls that keep us apart.”
