Band/Artist Name & Pronunciation: Woodgrove, WUUD-gr-OH-ve

Recommended if you like: Sparklehorse, Chad VanGaalen, Iron & Wine, Jeff the Brotherhood

Story behind your band/artist name: Nothing ties you closer to home than stealing a road name from a street you used to live two blocks from...

Band Members: Jared Hall - Vox/Guitar, Logan Leverett - Guitar, Jake Wentzel - Bass, Max - Drums

What part of the DC region is the artist tied to and how? Where is the artist's current home base if not DC : Stuck in the ever-expanding Northern Virginia bubble. Have lived in Loudoun County for almost three decades and currently live in Leesburg, VA

At least 3 interesting/entertaining facts about the band related to persons/events in Washington DC area: - Through past projects, two of the members have had the privilege of performing on the 9:30 Club stage
- One of our members, while not having performed on the 9:30 Club stage, runs monitors at the 9:30 Club almost every night of the week
- One member, who will not be identified, may have pissed off the owner of the Black Cat when showing up to a gig too early and desperately needing somewhere to pee before the doors were unlocked and thought, "Hey, this dumpster looks fantastic..."

Anything else we should know, or you want to share: We are currently two weeks away from releasing out debut EP, recorded and mixed entirely by the band in a large living-room an hour west of DC. We're releasing it on April 21st, exactly one year to the day of the first time we played as a 4-piece band.
