Story behind your band/artist name: Entering our 14th year, The U-Liners came together to play good genre-blending Americana and roots-rock music, and songs of our time. Music with a purpose, but music to jump up and dow to as well!

Band Members: Joe (acoustic guitar, vocals), Avril (electric guitar, vocals), Tom (mandolin), Jessica (vocals), Larry (drums and percussion), Barry (bass, vocals).

What part of the DC region is the artist tied to and how? Where is the artist's current home base if not DC : Takoma Park, MD is really ground-zero for The U-Liners. Joe's lived here for 31 years.

At least 3 interesting/entertaining facts about the band related to persons/events in Washington DC area: Played a sold-out Birchmere concert with Pete Seeger ~ his last DC-area performance.
Played the Black Cat with Tom Morello and his Freedom Fighters Orchestra, and Boots riley of The Coup.
The U-Liners have played a tribute to Jerry Garcia every year since he passed away, and have also plyed tributes to Woody Guthrie, Merle Haggard, and Pete Seeger.
The U-Liners played the Rock'n Roll hall of Fame in Cleveland with Jill Sobule and Lester Chambers in 2005

We've also played the Mercury Ballroon in NYC, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Bally's in Las Vegas, yale Univ. in New Haven.
