What part of the DC region is the artist tied to and how? Where is the artist's current home base if not DC : Shaw and Capitol Hill. We were formed at 7DL and usually alternated weekly practices between 7DL and the Pie Shop Studios on H Street NE.
At least 3 interesting/entertaining facts about the band related to persons/events in Washington DC area: - A famous Mexican Rockstar produced our EP!! His name is Tonio Ruiz, singer and guitar player for two different established bands in Mexico: Coda and Qbo. He's good friends with Pablo and decided to help them out because he really liked what he heard from the band's demos.
- Jen, the bass player, is also the Executive Director of a prominent non-profit in downtown DC that helps raise young people’s voices in national debates related to health care and education reforms.
- Pablo was consistently late to every single practice the band ever had, further cementing the stereotype that Mexicans are never on time.
Anything else we should know, or you want to share: Hundredth Nomad officially broke up in June 2016 due to musical differences, one week before they were scheduled to play at the Black Cat. Lanternfish filled in for them at that show.
