Band/Artist Name: Stranger in the Alps

Story behind your band/artist name: The band name comes from an overdub in The Big Lebowski for the version they air on family-friendly cable channels.

What part of the DC region is the artist tied to and how? Where is the artist's current home base if not DC : The project was born in Mt. Pleasant.

At least 3 interesting/entertaining facts about the band related to persons/events in Washington DC area: We once recorded a polycarbonate record in the 70-year-old recording booth they have at Songbyrd Music House & Record Cafe. The machinery in there wasn't totally calibrated, so the songs sound like they're being sung by a ghost with a deviated septum and the instruments sound like they're being played through the roof-mounted speakers of seventy ice cream trucks driving through a highway tunnel. It was awesome.
