One of the members used to work for Live Nation and worked backstage at various shows in D.C. including the legendary Paul McCartney and Billy Joel!
One of the members got his ears pierced at a bar twice, during a D.C. bar crawl.

Anything else we should know, or you want to share: The 5:55 (pronounced THE FIVE FIFTY FIVE) formed in Virginia while attending Virginia Tech and Radford. The band got their start by playing for fraternity and sorority events. After getting positive feedback for their electrifying performances, they decided to continue outside of college. They are currently playing colleges and venues throughout the East Cost. Venues include The National, House of Blues, The Camel, and Whitlow's On Wilson. The band has shared the stage with Buckcherry, Taboo from The Black Eyed Peas, The Virginmarys, Stop Light Observations, and more.

Story behind your band/artist name: While technically formed in April 2014, the Timberbrooke that northern Virginia has grown to love was formed in Summer 2015 by lead singer Devon Kraus and guitarist/vocalist Alex Iglesias. Together, the two wrote the stellar EP, entitled "Left Hanging", which established a change from typical pop-punk to a dynamic blend of pop and post-hardcore which still carries on. Upon the release of the EP, Timberbrookerecruited guitarist/producer Allen Wautlet, bassist Ramsey Noble, and drummer/manager Dario Cueva Timberbrooke has released their latest EP “Doubt”

Story behind your band/artist name: A group of friends and I were precariously approached by a buffalo while driving through the woods. Two of us pet the buffalo, the other two in the group thought it was unsafe. This was very shortly after graduating college, and we were struggling to find employment. However, two months after that incident, that same friend and I ended up being hired by the same company, without knowledge that the other had been interviewing with that company. Touch your buffaloes kids.

2.) Our performance at this years First Audioteka music festival got us featured in Northern Virginia Magazine....s' instagram,
3.) Two of our stringed instruments are an electric ukulele and a six string bass. We recently realized this makes things tricky for our new guitarist.

Time is Fire was featured in Washington Post on April 8,2016, interviewed by Mark Jenkins. He said "Sweet Jane gets an obscure accent"

At least 3 interesting/entertaining facts about the band related to persons/events in Washington DC area: James and Doug went to elementary school together and have been playing with Jamie for 5 years after meeting her at a songwriter's showcase at Ebenezer's in DC in 2010.

Doug and James have played in numerous other bands together before Throwing Plates, including their first trio 'Stone Collective' in addition to multiple ska bands, and Jamie currently also performs occasionally with DC-based mod band, Go-Mod-Go!, as well as the DC-based big band swing band, Radio Kind Orchestra and the Pin Curl Girls.

Due to recording and then re-recording the debut album, it took us about two years from start to finish to get this album done.

Anything else we should know, or you want to share: Mark Williams is the man. He's a producer based in Bethesda, MD who took us under his wing and helped us do this album the right way. We couldn't be more proud of this album, and a lot of that is because of what Mark has done for us.

-Cameron placed in the DC area Guitar Center Drumoff over 10 years ago and still has yet to fully claim his prize... Slacker

At least 3 interesting/entertaining facts about the band related to persons/events in Washington DC area: We played a house show in DC on Election Night the year Trump was elected, and drank beer at the greatest food chain known to mankind, Shake Shack, with locals watching the TV. It was one of the most culturally interesting and unifying nights of all of our lives, both at the show and after, attempting to bring people in and together through music and great beer

We played a show with the great and mighty Nora Jane Struthers at Gypsy Sally's in Falls Church, and she called me (Kristian) up on stage to sing one of Nora and my favorite folk tunes. Whilst being pulled up on stage, the angle of my legs didn't agree with my jeans, and they ripped from ankle to zipper, and i did what any good man would do, struck a pose and finished the song.

U Street is our favorite place to play. The energy DC always gives us time and time and time again is fire under our butt, and we love packin' out that basement and losin' our minds with this great city

Anything else we should know, or you want to share: DC was the first city to really give us a shot as musicians. whether it be auditions for LOCKN, U Street Music Hall, Gypsy Sally's, SoFar, our first times being in really cool venues with great fans and just awesome listeners have all been in DC, and we can't thank the city enough for that. 2- This project started because Mike wanted to play some drums. Then we had a 12 song record. 

3- The only time mike has ever seen Rich angry was the first gig they played together. The venue was this strange restaurant owned by an ex Pittsburgh Steeler outside of Philadelphia. The manager kept bumping our time and finally Rich had enough. We had only been playing together a month. Mike has lost his S@&T numerous times throughout their career so It is never really shocking to Rich. . .
